It's just a home brewed 6x45 with 16" barrel with a couple of typical goodies and a little Krylon spray can camo. The 6x45 has proven to be a great choice on these critters, I never get walk aways or run offs, they just hit the dirt hard where they stand.

I let the air out of this one with a 75gr. Hornady HP from about 60 yards. I had been watching two out about 500 yards or so and this guy decided he would like to have a taste of rodent squeaks from the Minaska Outdoors Bandit caller, instead I injected him with the Hornady sleeping pill. The skull is in the peroxide and the pelt is on the board. Should be able to punch the other one next week.

:IBCOOL: Isn't it common knowledge that west side hunters are better callers?? :chuckle: I heard that Bearmanric can call a fly off of a cow pie!! :o  Do we want to ante up some sort of pot? entry fee or something? Snow on the pass is no big deal.

Weekend after the Super Bowl is always a good one for a little coyote tourney. That's ususally about the 2nd weekend in Feb. For those who'd want to stay in a hotel... we could probably set-up some kind of group rate too.

Moses Lake would be a good spot for a rendezvous point... pretty accessable (2-4 hour drive) from most areas of the state. There's also a lot of good terrain to hunt within reasonable distance.

Maybe we could get some prize donations from a few site sponsors... whatever... just a good time to get out and network.

Two-man teams, and a Noon (or even 8am) on Saturday to Noon on Sunday is a good way to run... gives most of the day on Sat., one evening, one morning, and one night for those who like to call in the dark (a kick-ass time if you've never done it). Then it gives enough time to shoot-the-bull for a bit, and be home for work on Monday.

I'd love to get in... we could also do some pair-ups for guys who don't have a partner.
Strike Hard...
Strike Fast...
No Mercy, SIR!

I like the idea, if in the Moses Lke area best bet is after pheasant season.  Wetside anytime big game is over.  I'll be over in the basin for a week in January chasing coyotes and pheasant.

I have real bad luck with yotes. This year the score is yotes 3 ray 1. I hope to even that up some time but I think they always win. Is this a team effort? I am not a competitive person by nature so if someone on a team needs a handicap I am game. I can shoot straight but sometimes I swear the coyotes hate me.  :chuckle:

WE need to make it rookies or guys that the dogs hate, with guys who know what they are doing and are getting coyote love.  (No, not that kind of love!)

just for fun. the last two year's i have went to the predatormaster's hunt in Globe arizona. it's just for funand meet people. last year i went to oklahoma to there hunt. this year they will have a whole motel. it's alot of fun i do it just to meet every one from the internet. should have one westside late nov or early dec. for cat's and coyote's. could have a great hunt at skokomish. lot's of cougar and bocat. and coyote down in the clear cut's. it's at the beginning of hood canal. would be great for the port angelas and seattle guy's. and moses lake or Ellensburg both have alot of predator's. do it in jan. would call more coyote's in i dec less trained one's. I think that was Muskrat love if I'm not mistaken  :P

Good point with hooking up the newbies with the more experienced.
