I am in a pickle...little help?
« on: February 07, 2013, 05:12:27 PM »
The wife has about had it with all of my new toys....
That being said, I DID just happen across a couple hundred bucks to play with!

Need a new backpack (looking at Kelty Cache Hauler), but I'd also like to get into archery...

Decisions, decisions. Help me out guys/gals

Instead of upsetting your wife, you should just send the money my way. Then you won't be tempted to spend it on something that will get you in trouble. :IBCOOL:

I think it will be more noticeable, and more expensive to get into archery. (if you're wanting to spend the money without the wife knowing)

Maybe just get the backpack for now.  :dunno:

give the money to your wife .... no more pickle
Fishermen, hunters, woodchoppers, and others, spending their lives in the fields and woods, in a peculiar sense a part of Nature themselves, are often in a more favorable mood for observing her, in the intervals of their pursuits, than philosophers or poets even, who approach her with expectation. She is not afraid to exhibit herself to them. Henry David Thoreau

Couple hundred dollars ain't going to get you too far into an archery set-up.  But, it will get you a boat trip to Vancouver for a weekend getaway with the wife.  If you use it to show her you love her more than you love your toys you'll probably be able to get that archery gear shortly thereafter :dunno:  And might get some good hotel lovin' too :chuckle:
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

I don't know if you'd be interested but I have a Kelty Trekker for sale that would save you a few bucks. Its only been used 2 times. It carries the weight very nicely. Fully adjustable frame. I was going to put it up in the classifies but if you want it let me know. I am asking $100.00.

TimberGhost: Appreciate the offer, but I'm thinking meat hauler: thus the shelved frame.
You wiser fellas may have a point with the whole "spend your money where it counts" thing...

Yep, I'd spend it on your wife.  Is there a hobby or interest that she enjoys that she may need something for?
