digging was phenominal yesterday where i was.  first spot i picked, every time i'd tap my shovel the sand would look like a buckshot pattern.   i'd get 2 or 3 of them between sets of waves, spend more time waiting for the surf to go out than i did digging, and it took longer to get out to the beach than it did to get my limit.
you can still get gas in heaven, and a drink in kingdom come,
in the meantime, i'll be cleaning my gun

Personally I think 1 1/2 to 2 hours before low tide will put you at optimum for good numbers on your harvest "If your having a hard time finding them. Of course the bigger ones are out further :) Sometimes Ill walk into the small water pools and look for little sand jets, Dig away. Just make sure you pull out of the water as you release that way It doesnt get washed away as you release your air intake on your guns. That is if your using clam guns.

I havent mastered shovel technique yet, Something about grabbing stuff under the sand that kinda weirds me out. Ive came across full size dungeness crabs a few times. Would hate to get a finger caught by one of them haha.

Wow....what a haul. How long did you put in and how many beverages did you consume cleaning all those?
