Upland hunting in NW washington

been doing pheasant and duck/geese in nw washington-bellingham for about 10 years now and want to get into more upland. Is there any more upland around bellingham? Grouse, Chuckar ect? Thanks

hate to tell you this, but besides put n take pheasants all  you have are forest grouse :hello:

Mountain Quail Up off Highway 20.  Besides there are grouse, turkey and snipe.

Nothing like waking up to pheasants, chukars and quail singing their songs right now.  You are on the wrong side of the state. :)

You say that like it's a bad thing. Grouse can be, and are, every bit as challenging to hunt as any of the rest.

There are more species of bird to hunt east of the mountains but there are also more rattlesnakes to worry about with regard to your dog.

You say that like it's a bad thing. Grouse can be, and are, every bit as challenging to hunt as any of the rest.

grouse are my favorite of all upland birds, but the grouse hunting is so much better on the east side of the mountains. there are just more birds and the cover is a lot easier to work with a dog.

Has anyone tried to get some grouse around mt baker? I Want to start taking my pup on some walks out there and maybe i'll see some grouse
