Need help with my new bow.
« on: February 18, 2013, 12:24:01 PM »
I recently got a new alpine now and the draw stop is a little nob off of the cam that hits the string at full draw.   The only problem is that when the nob hits the string it makes a thud sound. Any idea as to what I can do to quite his down?  I have tried surgical tubing and felt.

I'm thinking your bow is out of time possibly.

Take it to a bow shop. If you bought it through one, they should take care of it for you.

As you get more used to pulling it back you will slow down your draw near then end and the 'thud' should take care of itself. Also, you might be pulling a little too much weight starting off if you have to pull hard enough for it to cam over that fast.
