Timney Triggers

Hey guys Im thinking about getting a new trigger for my .270 WSM whetherby Vanguard.  I was thinking the 2 1/2# Timney Trigger any thoughts or concerns.  Just looking to improve my groups.

Not sure if 2 1/2 lbs is to light all I know is 6 lbs like I have now is way to heavy.

I run a two pound trigger  and dont think its too light

hey, everybody does their own thing!     what might be too light for me might be perfect for you!     tinmey's are pretty darned adjustable (and great triggers), get one and if it's too light, go heavier!

I had a Timney trigger put in my Ruger M77 Mark II .300 win mag and it is AWSOME!!!  I have mine set at 3 lbs.

I've got a Weatherby Vanguard in 30/06, had a gunsmith adjust it as light as it would go. He checked and it was 4 1/2 pounds. I wanted it lighter than that so he ordered a Timney and installed it for me.

It's set to 2 1/4 pounds and I love it. My other big game rifle, a Browning A bolt is also at 2 1/4 pounds, so there are no surprises when I switch from one gun to the other.

I pust a Timney on my Sako at 2.5lbs. Great Trigger. I didn't care for the height of the safety compared to the Sako trigger so after a little gunsmithing in my shop, the Sako is back in and set a crisp 2.5 lbs.
I also have both my Rem 700's in .270 and .338 set at 2.5lbs. You shoot much better with a light trigger and after you get used to it, it will not be too light.
I'm not familar enough with Weatherby triggers but you might be able to make the required adjustments without spending any money.
