That's a good reason to have him there.  Guys able to pack loads are valuable.

  In my camp, half the guys are give more instruction than anything else.  Then again, they are old and aren't so ambitious any more.  There's been more than one time they've been frustrated when we didn't listen to them and just pack an animal out the next morning.  I'm a believer in getting them out and hanging at camp.  A few times that meant packing past midnight.  By doing that though that also means we can hunt the next morning and not pack meat during good hunting hours.
