I'm sure H20 will start that one off soon.  Chronicling his preseason workout in preparation for his first ever Elk camp.

I'll give you that the heart is an organ.  It's about the only organ that can taste like steak.

You guys are feisty tonight.

You H20 worshipers suck down a bunch of Zima's or something?

Oh and Smossy, go lay down by your dish...

. You mad bro?

Thanks again....as I get a few days behind me I'm getting excited about having some bear pep sticks in the fridge. Also, looking back at shot placement, the quickness of the kill, the help provided by the brother in law and friends....just couldn't be happier how this turned out.

Don't be a puddin'

Knife the next one.  Throwing knives.  Sow with cubs.  Make it happen (think of the trees you'll save).

Why do I keep getting emails saying someone has replied to this thread?! He killed one, let the thread die too!  :bash:

Just kidding, this is quite entertaining.  Everybody is asking about the elk thread, bit what about fall bear? Is that taking a back seat to scouting?

Well I'm with ya. Gotta start doing some more scouting and prepping myself soon. Got a muzzle loader for my first time elk hunting.  I'm really excited to see you got your spring bear. Congrats again on that.
When do you get the hide back? I hope to see some pictures of that mount too.

Not sure on the hide.....I think a hair on tan only takes a few months. He said he was going to flesh it, turn the paws and ears, and salt it right away to get the process started. I'll tag the thread when it is all done with the skull mount and hide pics.

Congrats on the bear.  Nine days and I'll be back in the state and back out there.
