Going down to Oregon!
« on: September 29, 2008, 12:07:46 PM »
I am getting very excited to get down to the ranch and start the 2008 deer season! Last year we tagged out opening day, everyone getting whitetail bucks. We usually do well on the mulies but only saw a few muley doe last year. I did see a nice 6x6 bull with some cows and cant wait to see what this year has to offer! The reloading is all done, the 30-06 still shoots an inch group where I want it, now just 4 days of work before I'm gone to OR! The weekend after that, is the WA opener, so it will be time to go to my friends ranch for another great time hunting. Got to love this time of Year!

Yes, fall has fell...you can feel the crisp air...trees are changing...fog is rolling on the lake...gotta love it...

I think my neck is getting thicker as we speak...gonna go thrash the rhodies out front...give the neighbors something to think about!

 ;)
Good luck man. Welcome to the site.

Well I got a small 4x4 Whitetail on Saturday at 720 in the morning. He was with a bigger buck, but he never gave a good shot so I took the the buck that did give a clear shot. Not many deer this year, not sure what is happening. Winter kill? I was the only one to fill my tag on the ranch so far this year and that is very rare. I will try to post pictures, as soon as I figure out how!

Thanks Bowsandhose! Firefighter4607 keeps me from filling my tag to early in WA. I am happy with the first 3point I see. But FF4607 has had me hold off and it has payed off in a big way more than once. We have taken some good bucks over the years.
