I would assume that all the land owner info comes from the office of the assessor for each county. It's probably the counties who haven't updated their info regularly and not gpshuntingmaps.
For the most part I agree except for a few pieces of land on our family farm have listed "owners" that have never owned any of the land.

I don't know what better source of data they could use besides assessor information. If it's been wrong for 15 years, shame on the assessor.

I actually just went on the county assessors website and checked. Hunting GPS is accurate according to the assessor. So it's not there goof. So my faith is restored   :chuckle:. However there is going to be some straitening out with the assessors office  :bash: :bash:.

Thought it might be the assessor office. Government cutbacks.

I've been gone on vacation or would have responded earlier.  Thanks for the feedback and not throwing us under the bus right away.  Each county is different on how fast they update their data and I'm sure some mistakes are made by each county.  In general I know that we have the best data available to us.  We are currently updating the land ownership info for every county and should be releasing another update in about 1 month.  This is a major project for us and will hopefully get the map updated even more.  We will be adding Jefferson county so only Whitman and Asotin don't have land owner names.  I don't expect those to be available anytime soon due to the those counties not having the data.

Cheers,
Matt

I use the iPhone version.
Love being able to switch from Satellite to Topo and back again even with no data signal.

One improvement I would like to see would to be able to zoom in a little closer than 4000ft (approx) with no data signal.

Hunting GPS Maps doesn't have a "Premier League" product that I'm aware of.
