Anybody out there have or have had a Titan in this year range? If so, what did you think?

I have a 2005 Nissan Titan.  Been a good rig.  I purchased it brand new and have just over a 100k miles.  A few minor fixes over the years and that's been it.

I drove a new 2006-07(can't remember what year for sure) as a rental car for a month or so when my truck got stolen and liked it very much.

Have no clue about any maintenance or repair issues.

I did a bunch of research on them.. some rear differential problems, brake problems. Plenty of power, city mileage for a 4x of about 12.. the upside is that you can get a new one cheaper than about any other full size..

I cursed myself by saying how good it was.  Rear end blew up Friday and quote to fix it is at $4,100 so far.  Blew up at 100,423

I had an 04 and had multiple brake problems, all covered. I had a terrible shake in the rear end when accelerating hard off the line, never could figure it out. It was a good rig even with the problems, like my 08 GMC Sierra w/duramax a whole lot more though.  :twocents:

Had an 04 that I bought new, traded at about 70,000 miles for an 06, got about 50,000 on it now.  no problems with either.  They are well powered and light.  horsepower to weight ratio makes them a pretty fast truck. Not the best gas mileage.  I have a banks exhaust and airraid intake.   sounds sweet.  I am going to get a tuner and it will get it good.  They are plenty fast and powerful stock but I like everything faster.  Based on my experience they are great trucks.

Bought a brand new Titan in 05 after being a die hard Toyota man.On the way from Olympia to Chehalis the day I bought it the gas gage quit working, they fixed it. At 50,000 miles I took it in due to a clunk when I put it in reverse and some locker lights coming on in the dash. After all the damages, it eneded up, both exhaust manifolds were cracked, transfer case cross member was broke, tranny cooler line was leaking and the rear end was schitt house. All was covered under warranty. Picked it up, drove it down to uhlman toyota and traded it in on a new camary for the commander. I will never buy another nissan vehicle again, period.
