Deer and elk with all three weapons
« on: March 21, 2013, 09:06:33 PM »
Just seeing who has done it and how many times.  I've shot at least two with each weapon.

I've shot a deer with archery, muzzleloader, and modern rifle.
Still looking for the muzzleloader elk to finish that one up.

 Me too. I just need to get a Elk with archery.  :'( Back in 1999 over in packwood. I almost had my cow elk with a bow. I thought it was a good shot, but we lost her. I found only the last 6" of my arrow covered with blood. We looked for 6 hours found lots of blood every time she spit up then in the swamp we found nothing. I shot high and i must of nicked the top of her lungs. So most of the blood was in her chest. I will always remember that sad day. :bash: One of these days I might go back to archery. Good luck in your quest.

Done it all 3 weapons.

Mostly cow and spikes. One bull. Smaller bucks with ML

Would like to take a big bull with all 3 though and a big buck with ML.

I have been able to several times.  Depend on my schedule is how I plan my hunting season.  Last year I shot my elk with a bow, deer with a muzzle loader and bear with a rifle.
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!

Taken mule deer with recurve, frontloader and rifle, whitetail buck with 44-mag super blackhawk. Couple bear with hand guns too but would love to take one with my longbow. As for elk, one cow with frontloader and several bulls and cows with my recurve and longbow but never plan on rifle hunting elk.

I've taken deer with rifle, pistol and bow, missed 1 with my muzzy last fall, maybe this next season. Not so lucky with the elk, 1 with a rifle.

Multiples with each except no rifle elk.  God willing I will never find myself in a situation that I have to rifle hunt elk in this state.  Rifle elk guys can keep that pumpkin patch rat race all to themselves!

I've done bear, deer and elk with longbow, recurve and compound.  Does that count :chuckle:

Never even shot a rabbit with a smoke pole.

Did you mean to ask "who's shot at deer and elk with all three weapons"?
