been up there a few times in the last couple weeks. nothing real bad to say. nice and friendly helpful, descent selection of bows not a lot of accessories though or other gear.

I've dealt with them several times in the past and personally have nothing but good to say. My buddy just bought a new Hoyt Spider turbo from them with good results. I will say they are a little rough around the edges so if you are the type that need your hand held, you may not think extremely highly of their customer service techniques, but the quality of work is flawless and they know what the heck they're doing, that is for sure. I'll keep going back when needed. Now if I could only get to shoot enough to need a pro shop...

Alright. I left a compound for them to do the strings on. Sounds like I should be fine.

I had Cabelas do the strings last year and they screwed all kinds of stuff up. They (Cabelas) called me to tell me it was done and they had never put any of the stuff back on, like the peep, the silencers, or the drop away cable. Then in their hurry to put the thing back together while I was waiting they chewed up the brand new cables and frayed the ends where they connect to the cams. I suspect they may have screwed up my draw weight too. When I dropped the bow off at Nock Point, he measured the draw weight at 51#. When I bought it, it was set at 60#. Only people that messed with it in the interim was Cabelas last year. Wont be going to Cabelas again.

Anyone have any experience with them for traditional stuff?

Never let cabelas touch your bow.  You should be fine with most pro shops but big box stores will not touch my bows.  I have a hard time even watching stuff get worked on at big box stores.

Every time I go in there they are awesome to deal with. They'll get you set up and usually dont ask for a dime for their help. They took care of me on my Hoyt Spyder Turbo a couple of weeks ago. Just dont tell them you let cabelas touch your bow After the last experience i had with cabelas, I wont make that mistake twice!

He seemed to know what he was doing with the compound, but I asked about a Bear Montana while I was in there and he directed me to 2 models on the wall and said they were Montana's, and they clearly weren't. I dunno if maybe that guy just wasn't as familiar with traditional stuff, or thought I wasn't or what. In any case that kind of concerned me, so I looked up their reviews when I got back, and it didn't do much to allay my fears, with one set going one way and another going the opposite. You guys have made me feel better about leaving the bow there though.

Ya, lesson learned on Cabelas. They didn't even tie the string loop on right. I had to tie one on myself. They put both knots on one side so it kept rotating the peep. Doesn't sound like I'll be having any of these problems this time though.

I don't know how anyone can say anything bad about them! I bought my first bow from Bill and I didn't know anything about compound bows and my needs my for hunting. They were friendly and always helpful. Shot my first deer with that bow and still have it. Still buy my arrows from them. They still remember my name and where I live in Eastern WA!

Bill has always teated me like a king and taken care of my stuff in the past . I had a bit of falling out with one of his employies and havent spent much time in there over the past couple of years . they are plenty capible of handling repairs as long as they arnt too busy . when rushed the quality goe's down give them time and you should be fine . It's like most any thing when rushed qaulity drops . there has been times in the past where bill really saved my bacon and got me back in the woods and no doubt would give up his bow to put a client in the woods . If your looking for a hoyt it's the best place around . if you play with bow techs then i'd go to rockcreek .
