Getting a new Pup! *Updated w/ Pics*
« on: April 03, 2013, 01:58:53 PM »
I had to vent a little excitement here.  We put down a deposit on a GSP puppy last week and we get to go check out the pups and hopefully pick out our new little girl tomorrow.  :IBCOOL:  We are getting her from Montana Bird Dogs in Kalispell.  The puppies are about 5 weeks old so they should be full of spunk and really starting to show their personalities.  I have two older pointers that have are on the downhill ride of their hunting careers so its time to bring in the next generation.  Pics to come.

Going from pointers to a GSP you may be disappointed.

ouch... most GSP's have some EP in their wood pile. get some western whitey blood and give the pointer guys a run for their money.

Haha. I should have clarified. I don't have English pointers. I have a GSP and a Vizsla right now. I just referred to them as my pointers. So luckily there wont be any disappointment. :chuckle:.

So here are some pictures of the pups.  They are looking really good.  I'm very excited to pic her up in a couple weeks.  The first two pics are of the female we are hoping to get.  We've got 3rd pic of females, so we will see, but they all look like really good pups.

Depends on the Pointers and the GSP's.  I live in the land of AF pointers and setters, like every breed, some are nice, and some I would have trouble buying dog food for.

Great choice on a pup from Ron. He breeds hunting machines and loves his dogs.
