Bearpaw Season -Spring 2013
« on: April 04, 2013, 10:01:28 PM »

Time to fire up a new topic for the spring season. We scouted three properties and have about 40 gobblers located. Still have another half dozen properties to get scouted.

TURKEY HUNTS
I do not have any hunters for the youth hunt and I still have availability for 2 hunters opening week of the general season starting Apr 15. Also some other dates available through the season.

Hunts include meals, lodging, and either guided or a map and daily hunting directions.

Guaranteed 3-Day Hunt...$1450
Guaranteed 2-Day Hunt...$1250
Unguided Private 3-Day.....$750
Unguided Public 3-Day......$450

The guided hunts are guaranteed, if you don't get a shot we refund half your money.

We've got birds, lots of birds, and we kill birds throughout the season!

Good luck this season!
I cant believe it's already been a year.

On a side note, I am coming up next weekend.  Will be at the cabin late Thursday night till Sunday.  Haven't heard word on the transmission deal, but that offer still stands if you need it.  I will also be scouting around (micah's sister got a spring bear tag this year) so I might just pop in and say hello.

I look forward to seeing you again. Haven't put together a tranny deal yet, still looking, but will let you know if I do. Thanks!

We have the turkey opener filled, still have room for 2 hunters anytime Apr 18-22 and some hunts available later in the season. Saw this tom on the roost this morning and got a photo when he flew down, it was still pretty dark in the timber.  :chuckle:

We've got 18 toms in one group on one of the farms, hoping to get a photo of them all together.

Sorry for not getting an update sooner, we have been busy hunting. Birds have broken up and can be found anywhere, snow is melted better than normal, warm weather two weeks ago has the brush budding out 2 to 3 weeks early, hens are already laying, and toms are alone at times after hens leave them. So far 11 birds down and 3 birds missed. I still have some hunts available at times throughout the season.

Here's a few more pictures from the morning of the 15th. Mike with his 2 birds, Pete returned again from last year and smacked two long beards this year at the same location he got his long beard last year, Bryan arrowed two long beards with his bow, Doug returned after getting two birds last year and hammered a long beard the first morning, Trent put the hurt on a nice jake, and then we had a group photo at lunch. It was a pretty good morning.
