So, due to sequester there are no free Whitehouse tours, airports are being closed, can't plow the roads in Yellowstone or Glacier National Parks; but Air Force One can be sent to Connecticut to pick a group of parents to use to lobby Congress.  What am I missing?

Well not officially.   Officially Airforce One was there because Obama went to Connecticut to speak on gun control, and since he had to fly back anyway....well then why not spare them the expense and offer them the trip, since they were planning on going to DC to lobby anyway.

I seriously doubt any of it was planned, I'm sure its just coincidence the timing worked out the way it did.
