Sight recomendation?
« on: April 08, 2013, 08:54:40 PM »
I have a new alpine verdict with a borrowed sight.  I need to buy one but can't make up my mind.  Any thoughts on a good reasonably price sight?   I would really like to hear from the guys with transition lenses.  I am having serious problems focusing.

Nope, I am not hanging up my long bows.  Just wanted a new toy.

Depends on your idea of a reasonable price.  Trophy Ridge, Montana Black Gold and Tru-Glo usually have some good models for a reasonable price.  But there are a lot of good ones out there.

I wear glasses even when hunting these days.  I will not use transition lenses.  Too hard to see an animal in the shadows if you get caught in the sunlight.  If you do wear them make sure you use one of the larger peep sight apertures like 7/32" or 1/4".
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

+1 for Montana Black Gold.  Life time guarantee on the sight body and pins.  Pretty hard to beat.
Hunt hard and shoot straight!
