Well, we have decided to put on a coon shoot Saturday night at the Iron Amos. $5 buy in , 100% payout. 1st-50%, 2nd- 30%, 3rd-20%. So if you are coming from any distance, we have more than enough camping area available both tent spots and rv/trailer electric/water hook ups (first come first serve), we also have a septic dump station. Tent spots are $7, hookup spots are $12. If your coming from any distance save some gas and stay the night, then enjoy a fun evening shooting in the dark. Hope to see you there.

Give it a shot. The Frozen Fletch they had in January was my first 3d shoot and I had a blast. You will have a good time.

A coon shoot is a night shoot, usually 10 targets. There is some one running the group and also handles the flash light. The shooting marks are layed out before hand that way if there is more than 1 group they all shoot from the same spot. The shooter stands at the stake and the flashlight holder will shine the target for 15-20 seconds so the shooter can get an idea where and what they want to shoot for. The flashlight person will then stop shinning the target and ask if shooter is ready. Once shooter says yes, the flashlight comes back on and the shooter can tell the flashlight holder to move the light to where they see their sights and target the best. The shooter has about 30 seconds to shoot. After everyone shoots that target, they walk up and score and pull arrows. Scoring is done the same as shooting a 3-d shoot, x's are 11, 10,8,5.Pretty easy and a lot of fun.

Good news, for those of you that are going to camp at the club for the Iron Amos, I just found out that there is "NO CHARGE " for camping if you are shooting the shoot. And that is more off a reason to come and stay at the shoot and do the "COON SHOOT" Saturday night.

Nice, hope they can make it.Hopefully they can be at the awards as we have a ton of door prizes lined up, and Hayden always cleans up on those. Some of the sponsors are Cabelas, Sportco, Sportsmens Warehouse (Puyallup, Federalway) Les Schwab on Canyon Rd to name a few.
