Question on Quality permit
« on: April 21, 2013, 07:17:08 PM »
Experienced 2nd tag guys..I am looking at putting in for a second tag in two different places. One being whidbey since I have access to private property. My second I am looking at sinlahekin, now though it is closed to late season rifle it shows the quality dates nov 1-20, even though this is closed to normal modern rifle during late season I would be ok to hunt with the permit in that area correct? I believe that's the case but I'm second guessing myself...it could be the 4 whiskeys on the rocks kicking in by now  :chuckle: thanks for any info!

I'm not clear on what you're asking, but I do see in the regulations the season for the Sinlahekin 2nd deer permit is October 10-20. So that is the season and the only time you can hunt with that tag. Hope that answers the question.

Are you asking if its ok to hunt your 2nd deer tag during the quality permit dates??

If so, that'd be a negative.

Let me see if I can be more clear on my question. Lets say in October for "early modern" I harvest my normal season deer but I was drawn for a second permit for a quality deer hunt (on page 23 of big game regs Sinlehekin hunt choice #1024 date Nov 1-20 any buck) Those are the only dates I can hunt with that tag correct?

No. The quality tag does not allow you to shoot a second deer. Only the second deer tags allow you to shoot a second deer and those are mostly does. And it will cost another 66 after you draw for the second deer tag.
The quality tag just gives you a better opportunity at a quality hunt with bigger deer, less hunters, and better season dates
