There are quite a few but not to many on the penisula side.  I would go to http://washingtonlakes.com/forum/.  You can find a few there.  Good luck.

There are a few good public lakes. To name a few..... Long lake near port orchard is ok  but there is a lot of boat traffic in the summer, Cressent lake in gig harbor is good, fish the grass with any kind of soft plastic. Tiger and Panther in Kitsap Co have some toads in there but the lake is so clear the gig is up by the time you get near them. Alder apparently has good fishing according to my friends (went out once got nothing). Nowish it the time to be out there, its the end of the spawn, but i have been seeing new beds last week. The lake i fish gets warm quick so that may cause them to spawn a little faster than other lakes.

there's a couple public boat launches, but you really need some kind of boat to fish that lake effectively, as it's surrounded by houses and private property.

there's bass in the chehalis sloughs and in the vance creek ponds too if i'm not mistaken.
you can still get gas in heaven, and a drink in kingdom come,
in the meantime, i'll be cleaning my gun

Just so you know, when it comes to west side lakes, it would be easier to name the lakes that have no bass. Nearly all of them have bass. Mineral, I believe, does not. I am not sure, off the top of my head, if I could name another lake around here that does not have smallies or large mouth. There are some, undoubtedly, upwards near the cascades and mountain lakes, of course, but pretty much any lowland lake will have them :twocents:

Mineral does have largemouths. Not the best bass fishing but there are some big ones. The gas station has some pics on the wall of some 5+ pounders out of there.

Oh. I always king of figured somebody would have thrown some in there over time but had never heard of any. Thanks!
