Kevin, your spirit is amazing. I'm sure you are pissed as all get out, but I think that helps. Kicking cancer is a hard battle, but you've got it in you. Your wife, son and daughter know it too. Heck, I don't think a guy or gal on HuntWA doesn't believe it either. I'm praying for you and your family and will wait for your next update. If you need help, let us know. We are a family...
Update. My recent CT scan indicated that my current chemo is not working as good anymore, cancer is becoming resistant. This was expected at some time....most cancer patients get 6 months out of the first chemo mix. I lasted 1 year. My doctor said I was atypical. My wife said she knew that 34 years ago when we first dated. Cancer is now showing a bit in my Rt lung. This was there also 3 months ago. Growth is slow. My doctor was amazed that after 1 year of chemo I am still strong and resilient. She has referred me to Seattle Cancer Care Alliance to see if I could join their current cancer drug study. The study is to instead place cancer patients onto a drug that causes the body to attack the cancer cells...not chemo. Since I am Ok, for now, i can see joining the study. It would require a trip to seattle every 3 weeks. This study med does not cure cancer but instead extends life and increases quality of life. Chemo sucks and I have been on it since January 2015. So, I wait to visit with the cancer team late this month. In the meantime, no chemo....which sounds good for a change, but scary too-not fighting cancer with something for a while. In the mean time, I will continue work, do the honey list stuff and prep for turkey season.
