I was lucky and drew my any elk muzzle loader tag here in Oregon. Basically 3 units to hunt for 9 days. I have very good hunting within 30 minutes of my home.  :IBCOOL:

Congrats! Your lucky to live in Oregon. Is muzzleloader there special permit only?

I had 3 points going into elk and didn't draw this year. Oh we'll there is always next year. On a side note a good friend of mine drew the Applegate late muzzy buck tag!

Bucks2ducks, yes muzzle loader is a special permit but you can use a smoke pole in general season if you want to.
Elkgetter2..... your friend will kill a big BT in the applegate unit. That tag is one of the best!

Nothing for me in Oregon. I will have 13 points for elk next year and still wont expect to draw with their nonres quota and outfitter tag system. Wish I would have never started but to deep now to quit! I would like to hear how that applegate muzzy hunt goes , I am trying for that one myself maybe a year or two more to wait.nwhunter

I will definitely make sure to post a story and photos after the season is over. We are going to go the first 10 days of the season and if need be during thanksgiving week.
