how many sand shrimp?

How many do you take for a full day of sturgeon fishing? The family and I are making a run south for a camping and sturgeon fishing trip and I want to make sure I take enough bait. There will be 3 of us fishing for probly 2 days. Is my estimate of 3 dozen per person per day too much?

Should be able to get some fresh shad.  Hold on tight though.  I like sand shrimp as a backup when things are slow, just to get a few shakers and an occasional keeper.  I think 2 dozen a person is reasonable.  Good to have some smelt around as well.  If they are biting smelt, you tend to get into some bigger fish.

I always take more than I think I'll need, better safe than sorry. I'd take 2 dozen each . I'd also take 2 dozen night crawlers per person. Tie on one sand shrimp and 1 or 2 crawlers per line. I'd also take some shad, squid, and a couple dozen anchovies.
I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I'm not!
