Your right about being legal but your hunting wrongs are sure not respected by most hunters. Your not a real hunter in most our books no matter what you think, anyone can kill a bull elk Aug thru February with a rifle. I think you should stay on your rez and hunt all you want, if we could take a public vote you'd be buying a license and following the rules like the rest of us. Laugh all you want, but you'll never get respect from most when it comes to the way you hunt.

You should do a little research on the rebound of your favorite herd.  I know there was mismanagement (I.e. no management) in the past however do you have knowledge about current management practices in your honey hole.  I openly admit wrongs done in the past but will continue to do my best to ensure a future.  With the state's inability to manage the given area (do for the most part banned hounds) somebody stepped in and righted some wrongs. I don't hunt for your approval or to be popular in huntwa, I do however work to ensure the existence of a shared resource.

Never killed a bull in August, never killed a bull in February,  I have seen state hunters kill cow elk the last week of March though (every year)

I've said it before on here, I never have agreed with the comment that we have the privilege to hunt, that's crap to me. I 100% abide by the laws, but I will always believe I have THE RIGHT TO HUNT! God gave me the right to hunt, not the state, but like I said I will always follow the rules. The rules are there to protect the game and I agree with most of them, but the natives rights to hunt, I will never agree with those. They need to change the treaties to make sense, just my 2 cents.  And if the muck's ever buy kapowsin, my buddies and I will have some killer elk hunting grounds, cause we will be all over it!!

those are special permit hunts that not just anyone can go do, highly regulated and help farmers with damage control. Very different than tribal hunts.

Hey we agree with something, your right about the herds being gone if we could hunt like the indians. Thanks God we don't have an open season on fish and game like you guys, man would that be sick. It's amazing how such a small percentage of people can have a huge impact on the deer and elk in our state, your brothers have wiped out a huge number of deer in the Yakima area and units that are permit only for us. Not all natives are bad guys, there are some on this site that I have respect for, they don't take advantage of there rights like most natives.
