TrapFree Oregon to Gather Signatures
On Friday, June 21, the Oregon Secretary of State's office approved the signature gathering forms for Initiative Petition #5, the anti-trapping initiative, meaning that TrapFree Oregon can now begin gathering the 87,213 signatures needed to qualify the initiative for the ballot. The Oregon Supreme Court had previously approved the certified ballot title on June 5, but proponents had to wait until their forms were approved before they could begin the signature gathering process. They have until July 3, 2014 to collect the requisite number of signatures.
