I'm not entirely sure if there are stretches open for the leagal taking of Wild Chinook but even if there were I wouldn't that's why I said even if it is leagal I'm mot one to take a wild fish!
The term "wild" gets thrown around very loosely. There are a lot of federal, state, and tribal hatcheries that release Chinook smolt every year that do not have the funding for clipping 100% of released fish. Also, the listed species of chinook salmon is the Upper Columbia River Spring Chinook. This fish is a Fall Chinook and most likely to head to Ringold where there are a lot of fish released every year for harvest. By the way, very nice fish, "wild" or not.
