N Idaho pics (7-28)
« on: June 28, 2013, 04:38:39 PM »
Went up and checked a cam I placed 3 weeks ago in one of my elk spots. I had somewhere between 13-16 different bulls no real big bulls..6 bucks  and bears

One on the right seems to be the oldest bull in there

This goofy bull

Looks like you need to find a new elk spot. I would hate for you to waste your season chasing dinks around  :chuckle:

who says there is salt? theres a huge waterhole right under cam

I was told by a gamey u can place salt before season, do not hunt over it

This is from IDFG: No laws pertaining to even dumping feed if you want to get pics..key word "hunt"

"Hunt any game animal by means of baiting with the
exception of applicable rules for the black bear baiting
permit (See pages 70 and 71). Bait is defined as any
substance placed to attract game animals, except liquid
scent for deer and elk."

Checked cam today..6 branched bulls,6 spikes and 1 giant forky. Only 1 bull seems to have the frame of a 6x6 when hes all done growing, but he better pack on the inches. Another possibly could add a g5

a buck with potential next year, think hes dealing with a injury..stunted right side

little disappointed that I havent gotten any pics of any real big bulls surprised as I dont see many hunting the area at all and this is almost 5 miles in. I guess my goals will be lowered here..cant kill a 300" bull if they dont exist.

That 2x2 is a freak.  Also looks like insanely long fronts on that one bull... some good junk in the group.   Maybe no monsters, but plenty of shooters!

that fork is insane! Ive never seen anything like it, my guess he has potential to be a big bull in the future to grow that much antler his first year

that other bull has 3 brows close together, the 3rd one is super long then he has a 3rd point where it should be. My guess is the big boys are somewhere.Sept should bring them out I hope
