Phelps game calls
« on: July 11, 2013, 09:48:28 AM »
I would like to thank Jason Phelps for helping me out to get a custom call for my brother in law who has terminal cancer. He was able to get a terminal illness elk permit for September and I wanted to get him a nice call for his hunt.  His nickname is Big Red. I talked with Jason and he made it happen even absorbing some of the cost. I appreciate this and if any of you guys need a call. He is the guy to talk too.

Well done yet again, Phelps. You da man. I won't buy an elk call anywhere else from here on.

Thanks.  These projects are bitter sweet for me.  I like making the custom calls but through the process I cant help reflecting on how fragile life is.

I pray that he stays healthy enough to enjoy the hunt.  GO GET 'EM BIG RED.

Very cool! I would love to help if I can with any info, calling or packing of meat! Which side of the state do you get to hunt? I'm glad to hear the state has tags for these situations, I always wondered if they did. Very sorry to hear about the terminal cancer, I hope he bags the bull he's after!

Thanks for all the positive comments. Great bunch of guys on here. We plan to give it everything to kill a big bull. He had 15 points this year. So it was kind of nice that WDFW has a program like this. His hunt dates will be Sept. 1 – Dec. 31, 2013 in GMU’s 336 – 368 any bull. He is really excited for the hunt. Pics to come!!

That's awesome, good job Phelps. Even though I read terminal, tell him to keep fighting and good luck in September.
