Lewiston, ID boating
« on: July 24, 2013, 01:37:11 PM »
I'm headed over to Hells Gate State Park in Lewiston, ID next month and was wondering if the river there is deep enough for my 18' Tiderunner?  I was just thinking about bringing the boat along to do dome fishing, innertubing, and just playing.  I just don't know the river there and if there are a bunch of rapids around then I won't bring the boat.  I also have a 15' smokercraft that is smaller and easier in lower water.  Does anyone know that area and is it worth brining the boat over or not.  Thanks

Yes it is deep enough. There are places you have to be careful.

Would be worth it. You can run that boat in there in problem. You won't want to run too far up river from there though. Bring any soft plastic stuff and you will have no problem finding some bass.

Sweet.  Thanks guys.  I plan on hitting the bass hard and thought about trying catfish also.  Of course I'm bringing the craw dad pots and hope to find a pot full.
