Who know's Little Naches Elk?
« on: October 21, 2008, 09:43:46 AM »
Ok, after 8 years of trying I finally drew an any bull tag for Peaches Ridge.  We'll be setting up camp in the Little Naches Unit. Never hunted Little Naches, any one have any recommendations as to where to hunt to help make my 8 year wait successful?  Thanks!

The things that come to those who wait, may be the things left by those who got there first!

You should be there now!  Get after them before the general season starts!  Drive into any of the drainages running into the Little Nachees.  If you don't care about trophys you should be able to locate a herd and a bull could still be running with them.  Hurry!

I was thinking the same thing.  It is a little to late to be asking for a lot of help.  Get off line and head out now!

I did some scouting over a short weekend of deer season. Only saw a few cows and a dozen dow.  Would love to be up there now!  New job and could only get a week off and chose to hunt the last week as my brother is coming from Colorado. Any productive areas or suggestions would be great.

I've been working long days so I can get out of town and have lost touch on the forecast.  It's already snowing up there?????  I hope there's some bulls still left up there; my any bull tag is only good for Taneum and Little Naches.

I only have one day left before I head out   Any one know where I might be able to find an elk in Little Naches to fill my any bull tag?  I hunted bald mountain some time ago and saw a couple spikes hanging in camps.

How big of a bull are you looking for?  I've been hunting the peaches ridge unit just north of actual peaches ridge and have seen a lot of decent 5 points and some nice six points, not to mention the two monster bulls i've been chasing but have been getting screwed up by another hunter who apparently knows nothing about hunting.

5 or 6 points or larger...all would make me smile. Not familiar with the area north of Peaches Ridge...is that still in Little Naches or Taneum, my any bull permit is only good for those two units? Any info would help for that area.  I've never had a chance at a big bull but I have lost some opportunities by a few hunters when hunting for spikes.
