I'm stuck in between heading over to Raymond or up to mt baker national forest.  They're about the same distance from me.  Any thoughts?
A lot of Bears in both these areas, you will run into a lot less tree hugging hippies in Raymond though, same distance I'd head South no question.

LOL, Tree Hugging Hippies.

I'd go North. You can always find some remote areas up there.

Baker Lake Road.

NF-26 out of Darrington

Green Mountain Rd near Three Fingers

Beckler Rd out of Skykomish

Spada Lake area...
:yeah:     ADD SEAGALSONS RIDGE AND LK. CAUVAUNGHD,,DEER CREEK
I'm not afraid of anything, and that scares me.

My son and buddy and I hunted out near the Quinault Res this past weekend. Hit the Wynoch lake area and nothing, then went up to the Col Bob wilderness area,,,tons of sign there, crap every where tore up berry patches. and loads of fir trees scratched up. Didn't see any Bears so went over to clearwater GMU north of the Quinault res. Some sign there but no bears again. Best bet would be later in the season for those place's I would say. 2 more weeks and South Cascades opens I know where they are in there so hopefully my son gets his first bear. best of luck, keep hunting!!!!!!!!!!

I can tell you where not to go. All of the places I've been so far. Lots of ripe berries and in remote no pressure areas and still haven't even seen sign. I've mostly been up high so don't go there. They must all be down low in the thick staying cool.
