Oh nothing for me today

Glad to to see you were able to get out on the water yesterday. Nice smoker meat!

This morning it was on fire.  My daughter and I had 6 in the boat by 7:00am and limited by 7:30.  We lost more fish than I'm willing to admit to.  Several double hook ups, one broken rod, very dirty boat.

Yesterday the fish were there too, we lost a lot of fish too. I checked the dodger and there was teeth marks in the Smelly Jelly, that explains some of the hits. Sunday we went 7 for 15, all the bites came between 6:30 and 9:00 in the morning. Will be back Saturday morning again, no better way to spend a Birthday than on the water fishing.

I'm wanna know where everyone is getting all their good luck. I fished both days this weekend for at least 5 hours each. And I didn't catch squat. I was in the river watching everyone and their brother hook up, but couldn't make it work for me. I threw jigs, buzz bombs, even some 50/50 Dick Nites. Talk about frustrating.

There were 2 purse seiners deploying their gear as I was leaving.  No doubt they will put a damper on the fishing.

An update on the netting from "Bigdaddy" on gamefishin:

"HAPPENING RIGHT NOW.......!!!

5 Seiner's just North of Mukilteo.

3 Seiner's just North of the Shipwreck.

And to top it all off, "someone" had a gillnet fishery last night just off of the Shipwreck.

The word is that the Tulalip Tribe made a deal with the Lummi Tribe to come down, with Lummi boats, and help the Tulalip Tribe get "their" fish.

Very sad to see......"
