Barred Owl for Boneaddict..

Paw66 and i hunted together alot while at the Colockum Elk bear hunt i donated. Saw three different Barred Owl's was very cool i seen this one the week before on my Favorate bear calling road. Thought i would share. Rick :hello:

Changed this to Barred owls. Thought they were spotted owls. :tup:

Nice pictures.
however, looks like barred.  (could be sparred, though)  The breast has the stripes instead of the spots.  There's an area I go for bears that has a few of the spotted/barred hybrids.

The barred owls i see there are bigger and darker. I guess i'm wrong sorry about that. This is why i quit posting here easy to mess up. I will delete it then. Rick

no need for delete.  Still good pictures.  I might be the wrong one.  I have undergone similar confusion with the owls.  The farther away from the river I see them at mostly, the bigger they get.

They supposedly eat spotted owls that's why they are going to start dispatching them.  What happens when they find out that's not the case.  What a great pic.
