was out scouting desert yesterday and noticed there was an rv park on dotson road. it was between the 2 wasteways on the west side of dotson. should have stopped and got their number and name but will next time. maybe someone on here can help as well as what they charge. did see some deer but nothing big. please dont ask where i went, but we did go to 3 places and the deer are near water. sawyer tick spray does really helps with ticks and mosquitoes. mike w

just an update. the address of the rv place on Dotson road is 6066 Dotson road. sorry no phone number. on the hunting side, I did go to a place that now has deer where as a month ago no tracks were to be seen. with the slightly cooler weather maybe they are moving. it could be harvest related, who knows. mike w

been scouting desert and found 3 better rv sites. the first is by potholes state park on the north side of the Frenchman hills road, the second is at the royal city golf course at Dotson road and highway 26, the third is on I-90 on the north side of the road and is between Dotson road AND WINCHESTER. these 3 all have full hookups and appear to be nice. mike w

There is an area on Dodson you can camp at, it's got no bachroom or hookups though. But it is free...............

you are correct. that was the one I mentioned in my first post. the others look to be more secure with more shade and they cost more. mike w

I stayed there when I drew that tag in 2006. I didn't have any problems, but you never know when some idiot is going to show up and help himself to your stuff!!

If you're talking about the resort by the Conoco, it's Pier 4 resort. I belong to it. Nice , clean place. I saw some monster mulies west of there on the south side of I-90 where you go to fish. If that's it, look up Sunrise Resorts and you'll find the phone number there.

that is another place to stay. one advantage would be you are closer to food, if you eat out. . I wonder if any of the places have a skinning station? meat pole. etc. mike w

These are pretty nice folks, and its clean. I drive by it everyday. Lots of shade and its secure. It does not have lake access, so may help with the cost. easy access to the desert. Hope this helps....

$30 is reasonable for full hookups. We are paying $28 in Oregon for all hookups except sewer. Gotta dump at the station on the way out.
