2013 Halloween buck!  Got big freaking bases got to love the big boy.blacktail bucks.

Here is a decent blacktail that made a small mistake .

Thursday the 14th with about 10 minutes shooting time left.  T/C Contender carbine, 7-30 Waters, one neck shot @ about 65 yards, 4x4 plus eyeguards. The wind was blowing the grass and playing tricks with the autofocus...too bad!

3X3 Blacktail taken yesterday morning in Ashford (654). This is the first deer I have taken with an AR-15, 6.8spc. Not the deer I was looking for, but the late season is not a time to be picky.

 If anyone has read the Hancock bucks thread they would know that I left for a more peaceful hunt and will never buy that permit again, I hope. Too me, that is not hunting.

 Anyway, made it out to a solid stand of timber near Riffe Lake. Saw two rigs today and one hunter, two does and one small buck that I took just because I was in the moment hunting like hunting should be and I thought that a buck, any buck, would be a nice topper.

As it lays, yeah, I know, this is an epic "As it Lays", my best ever, lol.

Caught this little guy chasing a doe this morning. Took me all season but finally found a legal deer.

Nicely done. Now get out there and wack some yippers. My wife and I are heading up to Foothills to give the deer one last go today. We'll get serious about the coyotes here in a couple weeks.
