Maybe next year. However, I suspect many who want to purchase a permit, will not get one. I'd guess demand will be twice what it was this year, as many people likely did not even know about it. And if supply is the same (650 permits) they will probably sell out in less than an hour.

Maybe they will double the price. That could help to ease demand. Or, they could double the number of permits, and that's what I think they should do. 650 permits seems awful low, for the amount of area it covers. Especially when you figure many of the permit holders didn't purchase it for hunting.

I bet next year they throw St Helen's into the mix AND up the prices.

If it was possible to sell it to someone else, I'm pretty sure I know someone who would sell theirs. He is coming home after two days of having Weyco employees driving into the walk-in only areas, including some of them shooting rifles in a patch of timber that he knew a herd of elk were in. What a joke!

The phone calls have been made. 2 shots yesterday and one today 80 yatds above me in the timber as I was closing the distance on a big 5. Another guy I've been talking to at the gate got cussed out by two gentleman saying he was in their way and as weyco employees they would go where they wanted. So there goes all my scouting in the course of 2 days, gotta love the ignorant ones

I really don't think they'll ever allow the passes to be sold/transferred to anyone else.

If Weyerhaeuser is in it to make money - they wouldn't be making any.
If they're in it to regulate traffic to the original number of passholders - once you allow selling/transferring then that all goes out the window. One passholder goes in there on opening day, gets lucky and harvests an animal right off the bat, "oh look I can sell this pass now, I got my animal" ... that's instantly getting out of hand.

By the sounds of it and Weyerhaeuser is going to go this way on all of their land.  They are making to much money off the deal.  That is several million acres of land.  Hunting will be a fee sport for future generation.  Pay to play.
Cut em!

Bottom half of page covers permits....

Got it, I should have read closer. I looked and looked for those rules and never could find them... glad I saw this!

If you're having trouble with Weyerhauser employees, contact the office. They may not do anything but it seems like they are looking for feedback now that we are paying for access.
