just aquired these bullets. what are they?
« on: September 11, 2013, 01:28:50 PM »
So ky neighbor just gave me 359 of these as he got them for free at a hard sale but has no idea of what caliber they are or what they are worth. The container someone put them in says 300 grain. That's all I know.
Any help identifying these and what they are worth is appreciated

The side by side picture is a 50 cal compared to the lead which I need help identifying.

I would say based on the measurement shown,  not a great angle but looks like probably .56 caliber

maybe .58 mini for the civil war replicas, but if that is the case the one in the side by side for comparison would look to be .30 cal  :dunno:

It looks to me like a .68 caliber for a smoothbore musket.
Now then, get your equipment—your quiver and bow—and go out to the open country to hunt some wild game for me.  Gen. 27:3

That measurement looks like 9/16 to me.  That equates closest to .56

You must know someone that has a caliper to measure it. If they are all lead, what will you do with them. I figure you don't reload.

Melt 'em down and make decoy wieghts or new cast bullets.
