I could be wrong but isn't the answer to a multiple choice question one of the choices?  :chuckle:

Yes, the correct answer is one of the multiple choice answers (rounded).

How did you weight it?

The butcher weighed the meat still on bone and then I grabbed the hide/head/feet and stepped on a scale.

You've got to watch those butcher scales...you pay by the pound don't you? :chuckle:
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

Time for me to win the guessing game. Get on it, Pilot!

And the winners are...the 9 of you who selected 140lbs! The bear looked fairly big and I was surprised to see that the meat/bones only weighed 100. The skin/head/paws weighed 40 lbs. When I skinned the bear, it had almost no fat on it. The butcher was really surprised about that too, he thought I removed the fat. The bear had a really thick coat too.

I was just curious about what you guys thought it weighed because I keep seeing posts about "I saw a 300+ bear today but didn't get a shot." When I got my bear, I thought he'd be over 200, even when he was field dressed.

So just to let you know internet posting weight is double actual weight.  So what you have there is a 325# bear.  Don't let anyone tell you different

I guessed 170 but am not surprised it was 140. That is not a small bear by any means, nice work. I do believe most people (on the internet) would call that a 250 or even a 300lb bear... they can certainly be deceiving.
