Was in Wal Mart yesterday and noticed some .270 that actually went up in price. Seen some .308 for a fairly decent price but still not where I would like to see it.

I've noticed that .270 winchester ammo is still hard to find.  Everywhere I've been the shelves are empty in there spots.
Now then, get your equipment—your quiver and bow—and go out to the open country to hunt some wild game for me.  Gen. 27:3

Notices went out in April and again this summer about price increases.  I think the last price increase went up 10%-15%.  It was bound to happen.  The ammo manufactures sign contracts and blanket out what they need.  The spike in demand wiped out the inventory and blew their yearly forecast out of the water.  They were stuck and buy additional product at the given market price.  Probably also covers all the O.T. the guys had to do as they were running three shifts in many cases.  If the price does go back down, highly unlikely it will take due time.

Almost like gas.  Rockets up overnight or daily and trickles back down.

If you know where to look, .270 can be found.

I've been seeing a bit of .270 Win, what I haven't seen anywhere is 30-30.

Only place I would even consider on the west side would be skagit valley area. I like it over here....sometimes. I'm about to put the house on the market and relocate about 409 miles east

Cabelas has some.  Was looking for .257 Roberts yesterday and noticed a fairly good supply of .270.

I got some .308 at the Lacey Cabelas about 3 weeks ago.  I was amazed how much ammo they had as compared to other places I'm in more frequently.  Still no .22lr though... :bash:

I've been seeing a wide range of ammo at BiMart, but the prices are up a little, still good though.

Yesterday I was in Lacey's Cabelas and they had some 400 round bricks of American Eagle (Federal) .22 long rifle for like $21 and change.
