Introducing myself
« on: October 05, 2013, 09:07:58 AM »
Hello Everyone!

New member to the site, thanks for letting me participate. For the last several years, I've been wanting to start fishing and hunting again. I've done some when I was younger, but never took it all that serious. Now i'm older, a little more patient, and have a little more time and money to do these things, I'm doing more than thinking about it. I live in Whatcom county and work in the technology field. My interests are modern rifle deer, bear, and wouldn't be opposed to anything else. I like river fishing, but am inexperienced in both hunting and fishing. In time, I'd like to bow hunt as well. I'm new to reloading and just getting started with that as well. I enjoy hobby rifles (AR, AK) for plinking on the weekends. I've been getting as much info on this site as I can,, it's great to read about y'all's experiences. I've read my applicable hunting and fishing regs once, then took the advice of many here and read them again and again. I've been and will be bouncing around the local areas I'd like to hunt,, GMU 407 and 418, to get a good idea of how to stay warm, dry and patient while hunting it. Hopefully next year I'll be ready to do a little real hunting after I feel I learned the ropes and am confident. I have my deer tag now for,, you know,, just in case! Again, thanks for letting me be part of your group and I look forward to read and learn all that you people have to offer!

With all of those hobbies, you must not have kids? :)

Kids are grown and on their own now. The little lady likes to see me busy doing what makes me happy and supports all that I like to do.

Welcome from a fellow Whatcom Co resident. A couple more dry days and the sack should be hot for coho!
