If you have facebook you must go to the wdfws page and read the comments under the picture and story of this elk.  Sickening to see defense of his actions. I dont care if its family, you cannot defend his actions..

Which facebook page?  I've LIKED 2 of their pages but not seen anything on this story yet.  I've been watching though.  When I search, it seems they actually have several FB pages.

:chuckle: I know right, some of its comical! Says he goes to court Oct. 10th! Guy deserves everything he's got coming to him! Especially if he's a repeat offender like its been mentioned a couple times by others!

Wow, that family has interesting assumptions about people...  Since they say we only "know half of the story" the law is obviously null and the poacher is free of any wrongdoing  . It's all pretty entertaining.  The facebook drama is a whole family affair.

The archer who reported him did a service to us all and must have had an unbelievable amount of restraint after seeing that.  That would be crushing.

Here's the link to the relevant WDFW Police posting (and comments) about the poaching: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=598039896920291&set=a.278085895582361.68686.220381881352763&type=1&theater

By the way, these are the exact words of his wife about the incident (asterisks added):

Thanks to the wonderful lying person that turned him in. Its not like you havent done this before. Anyway....dont want to talk to much s***....karma will get ya.
Since this is a respectable family site, I'm going to stop here.

The guys wife is a genius!  I never knew that per the WDFW regulations you don't count the first two points on an elk.  And since that is only a 4X4 it is not a trophy elk :chuckle:  Wow!!!  Leaves me speechless.

Then again, if they were really smart they wouldn't be poaching, would they?
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."
