LT Murray - Deer Opener
« on: October 10, 2013, 07:37:58 AM »
We typically go up to the LT Murray each opening weekend for deer and setup camp for Elk.  Get to hunt while we setup camp.

Anyhow, I stumbled across a burn ban that is in place till Oct 15th on some WDFW Lands in certain counties.  Am I reading this correctly :dunno:

If that's correct, no fires during the opening weekend of deer in the LT Murray?

Is this new?  I don't recall seeing that last year. :o

Fire ban on the LT Murray has always been April 15 to October 15.  State lands.  Want a roaring campfire?  Set up on the National Forest land.  Good luck!

I've looked into this a little further and on "DNR managed land" within the LT Murray (pink area on linked map) you can have a fire.

Too bad the two departments can't coordinate better on this. :dunno:
