Blasted a 2pt in Capitol Forest today at 1148AM, my thoughts are do not pay as much attention mid-day to the entire clear cut, but focus more of your glassing along the edges.

I have killed almost all of my deer midday. The 10:30 - 12:00 range seems to be my golden hour. My dad is the king of the first hour though. Almost every buck he's killed has been in the first hour of daylight, including the tank he shot yesterday in the Methow.

9:00 am seems to be good for me. You have to be eating an egg salad sammich too, it helps.  :tup:

All my big bucks are from 11-3pm....I passed on a big 3pt today at 2pm

I got the last 10 days of season off....holding out for a masher  :tup: I'll see lots of bucks and won't get a wall hanger shootin the small ones....although the 3 pt was a possible wall hanger...I'll see it again and will look at it better.....my dad was mad I didn't shoot  :chuckle:
