Idaho bull
« on: October 27, 2013, 12:25:45 PM »
After passing up bulls all throughout archery season, I ended up with this little fella. With lots of homework and 2 days to hunt I  ,Took this small bull yesterday for the any weapon (a tag) Idaho season to fill my out of state tag.

I killed this bull in the very same spot where I called in a monster 6x6 @ 34yds during archery.  Couldn't get the shot because I needed him to take one more step.

So After a few weeks, I decided to check this area again hoping to see that big bull. Right when I got to the very same exact spot I saw elk right away. They were getting ready to bed down no more than 10yds from where the big bull was standing. With two Cows no more than 50yds away I couldn't move, I waited and waited and heard twigs breaking. I knew there were more elk moving in. Finally, this small bull pops out from behind and stops broadside @ 60yds for me. I shot and dropped him in his tracks. It was great having my dad with me on this hunt. God is good!
