Late season blacktail archery
« on: November 17, 2013, 04:35:19 AM »
This will be my first time hunting blacktail with a bow. I've got the stand set up near a very active game trail, my bow is working great, lots of practice on the target... Any other tips to make to this a successful season?

lose the rail, it'll get in the way for archery.

I'd prefer to be minimum 16' up, ground to bottom of platform.

but looks good.

Those foot warmers you get at Home Depot! Nothing like sitting in a stand with warm toes!!!

If it's possible take your target to your tree stand and take a few shots . With that design you may have to stand up on the close shots . I agree , loose the cross brace . Good luck

Looks great.  I'd probably keep the rail for safety, but put a section of pipe insulation on it to keep the noise down if you happen to bump it with your bow limb.
