Took the new camera out today....I think I like it!!

Well, I needed something other than my point and shoot so I decided to buy a new camera.  After a few days of research I chose to go with the Nikon P520.  It has a 42 times optical zoom and some fantastic options.  I figured it was the next best thing to a DSLR which I will never use to its full potential......at least at this point in my photography career.....

Hope you enjoy the pics.  If you have any pointers for me feel free to comment.  All these pics were taken with programmed settings.  As I learn I can set up my own program or settings dependent on the situation / lighting / etc. etc.

With exception of the roses and dog....all the animals were 80 to 200 yards away.  The pic with the two does has a third doe hidden in the pic (really hard to see) and that pic was 200-220 yards.

Wow!   

I might have to look closely at that for back country hunts.  That would save about five pounds of pack weight.  I have a similar HP that takes great pictures, but does not have that level of zoom and takes AA batteries that are always going dead.  Doesn't save me much weight when I have to take 30 extra batteries

My wife has the camera u just bought and also the nikon7100 I THINK the point and shoot is great dslr is great for business but I'd rather use the point and shoot great pics thanks for sharing.
