On my sixth trip I finished the hunt. I am loading up things so I can head out in the morning for my late entiat hunt so not going to go into to much detail, but I started off Monday morning at 2:00am en route to my moose area so I could get there by daylight. As I got to the area where I have been into the moose I started seeing the tracks, but I could only see about 20 yards as it was fogged in. I got to the spot I was going to start walking from and decided I would wait until the afternoon as hopefully the fog would lift. So before I left I decided to throw out some cow calls just in case.
I went lower down the mountain and had no luck, so I decided to go back up to where I was earlier in the morning. It was now about 2;30 and that fog was starting to lift, but snow was heavier and a little windy. As I started up the road I was going to walk on this guy was standing in the middle of the road right were I called from earlier in the morning. He took 1 shot from the 300 wsm 180 gr. accubond and fell in his tracks.. And it was over!

Last weeks trip we saw the giant, we figured 52-55 with just about everything you want on a moose. I had him at 400 yards but winds were about 30 so I didn't shoot. We took off the hill after him but he beat us into the thick stuff before we got down there.
I big thanks to pendoreille adventures for answering questions and education on moose. There are tons of other people to thank, but I have to load up so I can head to entiat tomorrow to chase bucks..
All in all it was a great hunt, I learned a lot and definitely spent a lot of time looking for them, but considering I had Back surgery 4 months ago I definitely feel I earned this bull and have NO REGRETS!!!!
