Locked out of Facebook for Bear Hunting Picture...and more.

Hi guys. One of my clients, Scott Haugen, posted this on his Facebook page yesterday and I thought I'd share it here.  If you don't know, Scott and his wife are outdoor authors and TV hosts. Ever seen Trijicon's the Hunt on the  Sportsman Channel?

Scott posted a picture of a bear they took in Alaska last year and were subsequently locked out of their facebook account for 12 hours for "violating community rights" AND where told that their account could be terminated entirely. They tried contacting facebook but got no-where. Now they are receiving death threats.

Here is what he posted yesterday: 

ATTENTION Facebook HUNTING friends...In case you're not aware, there is a MAJOR anti-hunting push taking place right now. We're posting a LIVE bear photo, as one we posted a couple months back of a bear taken in AK was banned for "violating community rights," and also locked us out of our account for 12 hrs. Does anyone know how to contact FB about this...we CANNOT have them blocking hunters, tasteful photos, etc. We're a strong community, contributing billions of $ each year into the country, and can't let the anti's ban us..and that's what's happening, now!

It is total insanity where a photo of an ethically harvested bear (not graphic at all) is banned while VIDEOS of human beheadings are allowed to stay as long as it's "in the right context".

Is Facebook a private deal, just like hunt-wa?  The same type thing is done here, if moderates don't like your comment its gone.

I thought the owner/creator of Facebook was all into hunting and made some pledge to only eat meat that he killed for a year?  Seems weird.

I have posted all my harvest on FB.  I suppose because Scott's page is public and every can view it.  I met Scott 2 years ago while they were filming and hunting on the Quinault Rez.  Good guy.  I would tell FB to take a long walk of a short pier.
