Sacrificial Lamb
« on: December 03, 2013, 01:48:12 PM »
I guess I'll be that guy.  I am looking for information on the Master Hunter hunt in Elk area 3912 or unit 371?  The season goes till January 20th for a cow.  I have a master hunter card but have never taken advantage of any of the hunts.  Has anyone ever participated in this hunt? Good, bad or indifferent? Tips?
thanks,

3912 is pretty much all private. Need to know someone pretty much. 371 is firing center. Stop in and watch the video and register ur gun and go hunt different areas.

Anyone have any luck here?  Do you have to register or check in to hunt 3912?

Thanx,

you don't have to register or check in but 3912 is virtually all private land so unless you have access to private land there is nowhere to hunt

Both are tough hunts.  The YTC has elk but they are spread out big time.  3912 is very hit and miss and a tough hunt unless you know someone with private property or are local enough to check the small parcels of public land out regularly.
