Here’s one from today. Bullelk and I went out and tried our luck even though it was a full moon and clear nights the last few days and on top of that all the snow has left. We figure we put in about 9 miles today. Thought we would have done better. I really don’t like the full moon for hunting coyotes as it seems that the coyotes are a lot harder to call.  Anyway I got this one when we busted it out about 30yrds from us and the coyote ran straight away. I put it down at 126 yrds with the .204 as it didn’t seem to want to stop running. More to come when Bullelk posts his pics.

Edit: Wanted to add that we are down in our count from last year by a fair amount. A fellow coyote hunter verified with a game biologist what we had heard by the grapevine earlier was that parvo has hit the central washington area. :'(

Will Big10 talked me into playing hookie from work today to try and lure some lazy, sun bathing yotes into good rifle range.  The first yote was a young male how showed up out of no where, 95 yards.  The second one showed up at 145 yards in the bottom of a small draw, in less then 60 seconds, must have been close to respond that fast. Big10 also harvested one, but a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while.
